ROB'S HAIR LOUNGE, COBALT, ONTARIO

We made a trip to Cobalt yesterday. Still experimenting with the autochrome filters I thought let me try this on a very contemporary subject. It works fine of course with the old antique cars but yes it does work. I like the soft almost pastel colour quality of the old films, which I, sometimes, prefer over the strong digital colours. Of course it all depends on the subject and what like to express about the subject.

Cobalt is a village that you can keep coming back to and always find some new discovery, which you have done, Mike, over time.
One can literally go right down the main street, for example, and click away, getting a different result each time. That's just to whet your appetite. Searching through the back streets likewise opens up some great visual surprises.
I like your autochrome approach also.
